“Criollo” cacao beans from Peru are a native and particularly valuable variety there. For the Incas, the cacao tree was sacred and cacao beans were called “food of the gods” because of their many benefits. Peruvian Harvest cocoa butter is produced without additives of any kind and in accordance with the criteria for raw food and the EU Organic Regulation. From the fields to the final product, our cacao is processed under controlled conditions and very gently.

It is produced from 100% raw organic criollo cacao beans, without mixing with other species. The cacao is fermented only 20%. This takes about two days, preserves the raw characteristics of the beans while creating a lush flavor and irresistible aroma. It does not contain binders, fillers or excipients and preserves the natural properties and benefits of cacao.
